Your students will enjoy learning about earthquakes with this dynamic model. First, they make their subsurface model and model of a city using the colourful parts.

Then they use their subsurface model to look at the features of an earthquake, epicentre, focus (hypocentre) and the P and S seismic waves.

They then use their model of a city to look at the destructive effects of the surface L and R waves.
